On the colour wheel, it is the colour that lies between the web colour chartreuse and the yellow colour swatch. [1] This colour has been referred to as yellow-green, lemon-lime, lime green, and bitter lime, among other names.
Lime green was first used as a colour name in English in 1890, according to historical records.

An evening dress, also referred to as a frock or a gown, is a type of clothing traditionally worn by women or young girls that consists of a skirt with an attached bodice (or a matching bodice giving the effect of a one-piece garment). This costume is made up of a top piece that wraps around the torso and hangs down over the lower legs. A dress can be any one-piece garment with a skirt of any length and can be worn for a formal or informal occasion.
It is possible for a dress to have sleeves, straps, or be held up with elastic around the chest while leaving the shoulders exposed. Dresses are also available in a variety of colours.
Dress hemlines can vary depending on the wearer’s desire for modesty, the weather, fashion, or personal taste in general.
Dresses are outer garments that are composed of a bodice and a skirt, and they can be constructed in one or multiple pieces. Generally speaking, dresses for women and girls in the Western world are appropriate for both formal and casual occasions.
historically, dresses could include a variety of other pieces of clothing, including corsets, kirtles, partlets, petticoats, smocks, and stomachers in addition to the dress itself.
Women in Europe wore dresses that were loose and similar to men’s tunics in the 11th century, with a hemline that reached below the knees or even lower.
Towards the end of the twentieth century, these dresses had a tighter fit on the arms and upper bodies of the women wearing them. A woman’s figure was made to fit snugly into dresses by including slits on the sides of the dress that were pulled tight in order to fit the figure of the woman.
Women’s dresses in the nineteenth century began to be classified according to the time of day or the purpose for which they were intended. Until around 1830, high-waisted dresses were very fashionable.
Dresses in Russia during the early nineteenth century were influenced by Classicism and were made of thin fabrics, some of which were semi-transparent. When Elizabeth Vigée Le Brun lived in Russia between 1785 and 1801, she wore these types of dresses with a short skirt (that reached her ankles), and many Russian women copied her style. By the 1840s, Russian women were emulating the styles that were popular in Europe at the time.
European dress styles increased dramatically in the 1860s, culminating in the hoopskirt and crinoline-supported styles of the 1860s. Fullness was draped and drawn to the back in the following decades.
Both a “day” and a “evening” bodice were featured on the dresses, with the former having a high neckline and long sleeves, and the latter having a low neckline (decollete) and very short sleeves. “Malakhovs” were the name given to metal hoopskirts in Russia. Skirts from the 1860s were lavishly embellished with lace and embroidery.
Women in the American West slept in floor-length dresses of white cotton with high collars that were adorned with beads and other ornaments. A number of Native American tribes, such as the Navajo and the Mescalero Apache, began to modify the designs of their clothing in order to appear more like the European Americans with whom they had come into contact. Further adaptations of European designs were made by Navajo women, who incorporated their own sense of beauty into the designs, thus “creating hózhó.”
Paper sewing patterns for women who wanted to make their own dresses became widely available in the 1860s, thanks to the efforts of the Butterick Publishing Company, which began to promote them.
This was a first for the industry, as the patterns were graded according to their size.
Dresses from the Victorian era were form-fitting and embellished with pleats, rouching, and frills, among other details. When it came to dress reform in the United States during the 1850s, the women who were involved found themselves at the centre of both positive and negative attention. It wasn’t until 1881 that the Rational Dress Society was established in response to the restrictive dress of the time.

Black satin tie side shirt dress
Sateen is a fabric that can be found in a variety of different types of clothing and accessories, and it is also frequently used in shirts. Satin shirts have a very fashionable appearance, and we can easily state that. Satin shirts, in contrast to silk and wool fabrics, have a bright and slippery structure that lends these shirts a much more fashionable appearance than these other fabrics.
The shirtwaist dress, also known as the shirtmaker dress or simply the shirtdress, is considered to be one of the most American of all fashions. In this collection, the styling is inspired by a tailored shirt for men with a skirt added, either as a one-piece dress or as separates.
In contrast, a dress shirt can be worn semi-formally or casually depending on the occasion. The majority of dress shirts are long-sleeved and have buttons running the length of the shirt. An untied dress shirt and a suit jacket are considered semi-formal, while an untied dress shirt and a suit jacket, whether or not they are worn with a suit jacket, are considered semi-formal.
