Founded in 2009, Protein Works is a unique and innovative sports nutrition brand that was born out of a passion for sports nutrition and a desire to raise the bar in terms of product quality and level of service for sports nutrition customers everywhere. For the past several years, the three of us (Mark, Nick, and Karl) have been working in the sports supplements industry with a diverse group of elite athletes and teams.
Protein Works exemplifies the way we believe sports nutrition should be approached and delivered. In order to do things the right way and to listen to our customers on a daily basis, we have made significant investments. We are enthusiastic about what we do, and we are deeply committed to not only meeting, but exceeding, the expectations of our clients and customers.
As for the products, our philosophy is based on three fundamental principles, which are as follows: PURE | PROVEN | PERSONAL. Here’s where you can learn more about what we mean by each of these terms, as well as what makes us tick and how important you are to the overall vision of Protein Works! As is always the case, we’d like to know what you think – the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. We are motivated to improve as a result of your feedback.
Vitamin D3 Tablets
Vitamin D is used to treat and prevent bone disorders in both adults and children (such as rickets, osteomalacia). Vitamin D is produced by the body when the skin is exposed to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Sunscreen, protective clothing, limited exposure to sunlight, dark skin, and old age may all contribute to a person’s inability to obtain sufficient vitamin D from the sun.
Some people, including those with a bone health disorder and those who have a condition that interferes with the absorption of vitamin D or calcium, may require a higher dose, according to Dr. Manson. Unless your doctor advises you to do so, avoid taking more than 4,000 IU per day, which is considered the upper limit of safe consumption.
Vitamin D is essential for maintaining bone and muscle strength as well as immune function. It may be beneficial in the prevention of depression, inflammatory disease, and cardiovascular disease. Adults under the age of 70 should consume 600 IU per day. People over the age of 65 should get 800 IU.
When it comes to vitamin D in the human body, there are two types to choose from: vitamin D2 and vitamin D3. Because both vitamin D2 and vitamin D3 are simply referred to as “vitamin D,” there is no discernible difference between vitamin D3 and just vitamin D. When sunlight strikes the skin, the human body produces vitamin D3, which is a form of vitamin D that is beneficial.

Multivitamin Gummies
Vitamins in the form of gummies are intended to be a more palatable (read: sweeter) alternative to traditional vitamins in the hopes that people will be more inclined to consume them. However, when it comes to health benefits, they aren’t even close to a 1:1 substitute. “Gummy vitamins actually contain fewer vitamins and minerals than regular vitamins,” Dr. Axelrod explains.
Despite the fact that gummy vitamins are tasty, they may not provide the same health benefits as vitamins taken in pill form. They also frequently contain sugar, which is detrimental to your health and can lead to tooth decay and decay. Gummies, Cooperman advises, “should only be used if there is no other way to obtain the nutrients you require.”
By the end of the day, you’ve consumed four to six servings of gummies per day. It’s for your own good! However, there is a real danger of getting too much of a good thing — which includes gummy vitamins — in one sitting. “Eating an entire bottle of vitamins,” for example, “can cause permanent and serious harm,” according to Dr.
Constipation, diarrhoea, and an upset stomach are all possible side effects. These side effects are typically transient and may disappear as your body becomes acclimated to the medication. Immediately notify your doctor or pharmacist if any of these side effects persists or becomes worse.

Immunity Vitamin C & Zinc
Vitamin C and zinc have a wide range of health benefits, including boosting immunity, lowering the risk of age-related eye diseases, and speeding up the healing process of wounds. Vitamin C also aids in the absorption of plant-based iron, whereas zinc is required by the body for the production of DNA and the division of cells.
Zinc is a mineral that is beneficial to the body in a variety of ways. Zinc helps to maintain a healthy immune system, aids in wound healing, and promotes normal growth. When it comes to developing countries, zinc deficiency is quite commonplace.
The recommended daily zinc intake for adults is 8 milligrammes (mg) for women and 11 milligrammes (mg) for men.
Zinc is frequently included in multivitamins, but it can also be taken on its own or in combination with vitamin C. Because of its absorption efficiency, it is best taken on an empty stomach, but it can cause stomach upsets. In this case, it should be taken with a meal and not late at night as previously stated.
