It seems that Viva Durant has bewitched the readers of all ages and I am absolutely in love with these stories. A jazz music, New Orleans, and all-black cast. They require this! To be honest, I like the character of the storyteller. I have no criticism or unfavourable comments to make for the third story, though.
Even in the first few chapters, there are far too many new characters and, thus, too much happening. At times it becomes hard to cope with simply because They do not know these new people. The interactions between Viva and her grandmother and her friend were the heart of what made the first two books so great.
