Musical theatre great Gary Wilmot plays the Wizard and Professor Marvel, while Tony Award–winning comic Jason Manford plays the Cowardly Lion. Diversity breakout sensation Ashley Banjo makes his West End musical debut as the Tin Man. CRAZY FOR YOU

Saturday, June 24, 2023 – Saturday, January 20, 2024

The Gillian Lynne Theatre will host this event.

This stunning production, directed and choreographed by Tony and Olivier winner Susan Stroman, moves from the Chichester Festival Theatre, where it played to sold-out audiences. Featuring Tony Award nominee Tom Edden as Bela Zangler, Tony Award winner Carly Anderson as Polly, and Olivier Award winner Charlie Stemp as Bobby. He’s an alien in a strange land, and she’s the one. Theatre-mad Bobby Child has dual desires: to pursue a career in show business, and to manage the family bank. In Deadrock, Nevada, he grudgingly goes to foreclose on a theater’s mortgage, only to fall in love with the owner’s daughter, Polly. Bobby is so committed to saving the theatre, revitalising the town, and winning Polly’s love that he decides to throw a show including dancers from the renowned Zangler Follies in New York City.

This is “a divine production that will leave you giddy,” according to the Guardian, thanks to the riotously funny book by Ken Ludwig and the abundance of glorious Gershwin melodies (such as Someone to Watch Over Me, I Got Rhythm, and They Can’t Take That Away from Me). Crazy For You, the musical, was nominated for multiple Tony and Olivier Awards and took home Best Musical for the original production.
