Townsend Music ‘Pyramid’ is reissued in a limited edition Super Deluxe Box Set with 4CDs, blu-ray with Alan Parsons’ surround sound mixes, Abbey Road half-speed repaired 2LP, 12″ x 12″ 60-page hardback book, and replica press folder.
May 1978 saw their third studio album, Pyramid. A Giza pyramid concept album. When this album was made, Townsend Music pyramids and power were popular. Pyramids appeared on dollar bills, newspapers commented on their magical properties, and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” cover. As with previous albums, APP recorded the album at Abbey Road Studios in London for high-quality sound. Jack Harris, Dean Ford, Colin Blunstone, Lenny Zakatek, David Paton, and John Miles sang lead. Other session players include guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Elliott with Andrew Powell compositions.
