THE BEGINNING IN 1965 As the ageless slogan “In here, it’s always Friday” proclaimed, the original Fridays debuted in 1965 on the corner of 63rd and 1st street in New York. A red-and-white striped phenomenon came into being as a result of an aspiration to put on the “greatest show on earth,” which was inspired by the Barnum & Bailey Circus. It became the hangout spot for locals who loved crazy nights and good times thanks to its charismatic bartenders and free-flowing alcohol. The first restaurant to need barricades to manage the swarms of delighted guests was this one, and it only took a week! The BBQ Houmous Nachos are a delightful combination of cajun-seasoned corn tortillas, vegan cheese from Applewood, houmous, BBQ sauce, jalapenos, and guacamole. The addition of pico de gallo and salsa gives them the perfect amount of acidity. For those who want a vegetarian or vegan option, this appetizer is perfect.

Their Festive menu also features the Ses Jack chicken, so there’s no need to worry if you’re the type of person who can’t attend a TGI Fridays without ordering it.

THE MAIN EVENT

With their assortment of Christmas main courses, you won’t know where to start. A Stuffing Ball and Friday’s Legendary Glaze top off the layers of Monterey Jack cheese, bacon, and parsnip crisps that make up the Fridays Festive Burger. It’s a delicious and celebratory meal. The burger can be customized to your liking by selecting between beef patty and chicken breast.

On the other hand, you may choose their brand-new Halloumi and Mushroom Burger, which features grilled flat cap mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onions, and Comeback Sauce. You’ll want to give this one a go again and over again.

Their Christmas Combo Bucket is the perfect choice if you’re seeking the most festive feast imaginable. This bucket is brimming with holiday goodies and is available as an upgrade for £5. Pork sammies, grilled chicken breasts and wings, stuffing balls, corn on the cob, house fries, sweet potato fries, parsnip crisps, and their renowned glaze are all within. Absolutely mouthwatering.

On the Christmas two-course menu, they’ve also included several customer favorites. Vegan Meatless Chicken Fajitas, unforgettable Cajun Chicken Pasta, and a festive New York Strip available for an additional £5.

A BIT ON THE SIDE

Give yourself a Christmas update by adding two additional sides to your collection. There is no such thing as Christmas without the presence of Stuffing Balls or Pigs in Blankets. Both are topped with their renowned glaze and served with crisps made from parsnips.
