At the time of our departure, there were only 12 of us on our journey. It was the year 1981.

Back then, the outdoors was all about daring explorers, but we were content to simply open our front door and enjoy ourselves. Furthermore, we wanted everyone else to be out there with us as well.

Regatta UK is an English family-owned outdoor and leisure clothing company based in Manchester, England, that has been in operation since 1981. It is in competition with Karrimor, Peter Storm, and Slazenger, among others.

As a result, we created excellent products that people could afford, clothing that encouraged them to get outside and enjoy the fresh air without worrying about how much it would cost. That is still the most important thing to us.

Moreover, we are continuing to do so. Continue to think of new ways to assist others, continue to be energised by the great outdoors, continue to be available at the front door when you need us.

The same holds true for those who ramble, amble, hike or bike: it is the only thing that matters. Everyone from campers and gardeners to daily commuters, dog walkers, show jumpers, and multi-tasking mums, picnickers and backpackers, kids playing ball, and dads at the footie, urban roamers and beachcombers, puddle-loving children, and everyone else we’ve assisted in embarking on their own adventure.

A base layer or t-shirt made of a moisture-wicking material, such as polyester, is recommended. A simple long-sleeved shirt that will serve as your next layer of protection against the elements (similar to socks, merino wool is an excellent fabric choice). a thin, insulated jacket that is lightweight and packs away easily

A hiking trip while wearing jeans is not advised. Jeans are made of cotton, which is a porous material that holds water and can freeze. In the 1970s and 1980s, when synthetic material was not yet available, many hikers opted to wear jeans on their hikes. The use of jeans for short hikes and nature walks can be an acceptable hiking outfit.

Most hiking pants do an excellent job of protecting you from scrapes and bugs, but if you’re going to be hiking in particularly rugged terrain, you may want to invest in a pair of extra-durable pants.

Long pants are the most secure option for hiking in any location, but shorts are generally more comfortable in warm weather. In our hiker survey, we found that the majority of female hikers prefer to wear leggings, while the majority of male hikers prefer to wear long pants. Many hikers agree that the clothing you choose should be dictated by the weather and trail conditions.

Hiking can be done in ski pants. A pair of ski pants that is designed to be durable and provide adequate waterproofing sounds exactly like the kind of rugged, protective clothing you’d want to wear when traipsing through the forest. It will keep you warm on frostier, snow-covered hikes because it is more insulated than your typical hiking pants.

In addition to being practical and socially acceptable, snowboard pants are typically baggy for a variety of reasons, including the ability to layer, not being too tight so that you can move freely, and last but not least, to be fashionable. This does not imply that they must be excessively baggy, as there are fitted options available as well.

A DWR (durable water repellent) coating on the fabric means that water will bead off the fabric; however, in a downpour, waterproof pants would be a safer choice–or pack a pair of rain pants to layer over your hiking pants in case you encounter rain.

Pants Keep your track pants, leggings, and other pants made of absorbent materials for wearing underneath your snow pant layers. Avoid wearing jeans entirely because they are not made of a flexible material, and when combined with an additional layer of snow pants, they may cause you to feel stiff, making it difficult to turn and move on the slopes.
