I miss you’ cups and saucers. She looked for pieces in a china shop that would remind her of her mother’s North Oxford kitchen, which was warm. In those days, the British high street had only two options: as tender and elegant or as robust and utilitarian.

Emma suddenly saw her mother’s kitchen dresser. She saw it in the china shop with the shiny, clashing crockery. Thus, it was clear that only manufacturing china herself could meet the goal. But she had no idea how or where. A friend suggested Stoke-on-Trent by word of mouth conversation. Thus, the unique and modern ceramic brand of Emma Bridgewater appeared. They have not deviated from that initial, creative moment’s focus on the mind and aesthetics for 30 years. They believe that their ordinary kitchen china is very much part of their lives and every cup, bowl, jug, and plate has their stories and makes them fuller as they share food and beverages.
