About NRBY
Jo Hooper was a leading light in women’s fashion for over thirty years and she had seen it all and more. Today, women are likely to work from home or have a side hustle, so they do not have to dress for the office or a fancy event every day. After a lifelong fascination with the Japanese idea of “one-mile wear,” Jo set out to design garments that would do just that: comfort you as you wore them, all day long, from home to neighboring and distant places.
Jo asked Cornelia Smith, a former coworker and friend from her “corporate” life, to join her and they created NRBY Clothing to fill the gap of brightly colored, comfortable clothes that could be worn almost constantly. When they want only the best textiles against their skin, when they do not buy clothes by the “seasons,” when life is uncertain, and when movement and ease are important.
