All About Saltrock
A train to Cornwall was hopped on, and they never returned. While Angus and Ross enjoyed their time in Cornwall immensely, they soon found themselves in need of financial stability and decided to put their artistic skills to use. They created a printing screen out of scraps they begged, borrowed, and salvaged and a blackout system from of tape, nails, and a Salvation Army rug, and then they set up shop in the back of an Austin Allegro to print and sell their own original surf-inspired designs on t-shirts. They decided to call their new company Saltrock in honour of their favourite South African surf spot.
The concepts were a hit. The brothers’ style was so unique and striking that it quickly garnered a devoted following among surfers in the south west, and soon they were unable to keep up with demand. They’ve stayed fiercely true to their roots by continuing to make surf-inspired designs in Devon, with the spirit of independence knitted into the very fabric of Saltrock products, which are now sold all over the United Kingdom.
