Lands’ End was founded in 1963 by Gary Comer, who sold yachting equipment to sailors competing in regattas. A retail store in Chicago’s tannery district, as well as a mail-order business out of his basement, were both successful ventures. Even though Gary’s company was named “Lands’ End” because the very first catalogue cover had the apostrophe incorrectly placed, there wasn’t enough money to reprint the entire run, so “Lands’ End” became the name of Gary’s company from that point on, punctuation error and all. The publication of the “Lands’ End Yachtsman’s Equipment Guide” triggered a period of rapid expansion for the company, which necessitated the relocation to larger facilities on Chicago’s Elston Avenue. By 1977, the company’s primary focus had shifted from sailing equipment to clothing, and in 1978, the company began a long-distance relocation to Dodgeville, Wisconsin, which was completed by the 1980s. It continues to serve as the company’s headquarters. For decades, Lands’ End has been associated with legendary quality and uncompromising value.
Women’s High Waisted Slim Ankle Jeans
Jeans with a high waistband are one of the most popular styles because they are both comfortable and flattering on the body. The fact that they create a balanced silhouette makes them flattering on almost all body types and sizes, including tall and athletic women as well as apple and hourglass figures.
Jeans with a mid-rise or high-rise waistline help to support and conceal your stomach. If you are self-conscious about your tummy, these jeans are the most flattering style for you. Avoid wearing jeans with a low rise. These don’t provide adequate coverage for your stomach and often result in a muffin-top, which may make you feel uneasy.
Although high-rise jeans can appear intimidating at first glance, when worn correctly, they can actually work wonders in terms of making you appear instantly slimmer. A properly fitted, higher-rise jean elongates the lower body, deceiving the eye into believing you are taller and leaner than you actually are.
A low rise is one that sits below your natural waistline and helps to visually slim your figure. As a result, your legs may appear shorter as a result of the stumpifying effect. A higher rise will visually lengthen your legs and make you appear taller because it will visually lift your waist.

Womens Starfish Knit Denim Mid Rise Straight Leg Jeans
Our StarfishTM fabric is super comfy (and shape-retaining), and these pants have a similar look to jeans. The back pockets are both functional and fashionable, as they will peek out from beneath your favourite tops when not in use. Fortunately, the front pockets are faux – so you won’t have to worry about pocket bags adding to the overall weight of the garment!
A pair of drawstring pants with an elastic waist is a pair of pants that can be easily slipped over the head and secured around the waist with a stretchable elastic or drawstring. Because elastic in pants is so easy to put on and take off, it is a popular choice for many people (Generally used in kids wear as well as leisure wear).
Leggings. Stretch pants, also known as jeggings or leggings, are a form of tight-fitting pants with a stretchy fabric. Their elastic waists make them easy to put on while also making them remarkably comfy.
A notion used in sewing that is sold in narrow strips and is generally used to increase the ability of a garment to stretch, either to accommodate movement or to make the garment suitable for wearers of a variety of physical sizes is known as elastic.

Despite the fact that it may seem counter-intuitive, a higher rise jean can work wonders on a pear-shaped body. Due to the fact that a high rise style provides excellent coverage for your lower back while also lengthening your legs and balancing out your hip area. In fact, the bigger your backside is, the higher you can make the rise on your jeans in order to look good in them.
Typically, mid-rise jeans have a waistband that is placed between the hips and the navel, slightly below the natural waistline. In comparison to low-rise jeans, mid-rise jeans cover a larger portion of the lower stomach, but not nearly enough to be considered high rise denim.
Stretch denim is a relatively new type of denim cotton (or cotton/polyester blend) that incorporates a small amount of elastane, a stretchy, synthetic fibre also known as Spandex or Lycra, into the fabric to give it a more voluminous appearance. Furthermore, stretch jeans are generally more form-fitting than jeans made from fabrics that do not have any stretch.
The rise of jeans is the point at which the waistband comes to an end. High-rise jeans are those that go up to the belly button, low-rise jeans are those that wrap around the hips, and mid-rise jeans are those that are – you guessed it – in the middle. Mid-rise jeans have a certain look to them, and they are a good way to hide a muffin top. Use that to your advantage if you have the opportunity.
