In 2014, the founders of 3D Prima believed there was a market for good yet affordable 3D printers. The prices have dropped to the point that suddenly they were available to small firms and private persons. 3D Prima.com was established after thorough market research.
Sales started small at the end of 2014, with a very simple webshop and a restricted variety. The office and warehouse were then only 40 square meters. Founder Jacob Mårtensson felt that to be able to grow faster, he needed additional personnel.
